Tucked inside the park, this is a small, chilled spot that families end up staying at far longer than planned. The cushioned seating is comfortable, there's a proper kids' play area, and — the real winner — a track outside where children can ride their bikes while the adults finish a coffee. Cakes are homemade and genuinely lovely (the Victoria sandwich comes up again and again), and it's remarkably cheap: two coffees and two slices came to £9. Recently refurbished, with high chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu. It gets busy, and the selection is small — filter coffee is machine-made rather than barista-perfect — but service is quick and the atmosphere is warmly local. One parent sums it up as "a lovely and chilled place to grab a drink and relax within the park".
