A play café run out of the YMCA hall, this one is built for the under-fives rather than merely tolerating them. Weekday play sessions fill the space with toys and roleplay stations, plus a separate corner for the smallest babies with a ball pit and bumbo chairs, and a little reading seat that toddlers gravitate to. There's seating inside and out, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking, so the logistics are unusually easy. The coffee is genuinely good and the cakes are worth staying for — one parent managed "a peaceful coffee" here twice with a baby and a toddler in tow, which tells you plenty. Prices are described as a bargain. The one gripe families raise is that sessions run in the mornings only; there's no afternoon slot yet.
