Portions are the headline: penne diavolo, sardines and tagliatelle carbonara all arrive generous enough that nobody's asking for chips on the walk home, and the seafood risotto gets particular praise for the price. A margherita keeps younger ones happy. The team are patient and unhurried, and they've handled big celebration tables without fuss, so a party of eight with children isn't a problem — worth booking, especially Saturday evening when it's busiest. It's cosy rather than cavernous, so a truly loud toddler will be heard, and the odd dessert doesn't quite live up to its description. One parent found it "so nice to get a decent amount of food for your money".
