Restaurant · Bournemouth
A tiny fish restaurant in Pokesdown that punches well above its size — and that size is the first thing to know, because there are only a few tables inside, so book, especially at weekends. Buggy access and high chairs are sorted, there's free parking, and the outdoor seating is handy on a warm day, though staff check on the outside tables less often, so it's not the spot if you need food fast for a hungry toddler. The fish is the draw: sea trout that falls apart, huge Scottish plaice, tender bass and bream with almond and caper butter, chunky chips, and lobster bisque one visitor called "the most delicious thing I've ever had". Steak and non-fish mains keep everyone happy, there's a kids' menu and vegan options, and the set lunch is genuinely good value. Menu items do sell out later on.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
