Tucked into the town centre and easy to reach on foot from the car park, this is a small, homely place — the seating areas are compact, so it feels personal rather than roomy, though a bulky pram may be a squeeze at busy times. Everything's cooked fresh on site, and food arrives quickly even when there's a steady stream of diners, which helps when someone's patience is running out. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the staff are warm and chatty, happy to greet people by name and work around fussy eaters. Sunday lunches come in generous portions with plenty of veg, the chips are crisp outside and fluffy in, and the home-made cakes and cheesecake get proper praise. Two things to know: lunchtime gets extremely busy, and the toilets are up steep stairs. Dogs welcome, and takeaway's an option.

A well-rated Hexham restaurant with a perfect 5.0 star review, offering a mid-priced, family-friendly place to eat in town.
A small, genuinely Greek spot in Hexham with huge portions, quick service and a children's menu that's real food, not nuggets.
