A relaxed Belfast coffee shop with outdoor seating and vegan options — an easy, mid-range spot for a family pause.

Handy after a walk in from the Giant's Ring, this is a smart room on a main road with free parking, buggy access and outdoor tables — useful when a toddler needs air mid-meal. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, plus vegan choices, and the service tends to be friendly and unhurried rather than rushed. The steak sandwich, chips and black pudding get the loudest praise, and the starters travel well for small appetites — leeks, squid rings, chicken salad shared between two makes a decent light lunch. Be warned on two counts: portions run refined rather than filling, and it's genuinely pricey, with a discretionary 10% service charge added to the bill that some diners resent. One parent found it "one of the better meals I had in Belfast" — but go for a treat, not a quick fill-up.
