Perched above Fistral beach, this is the kind of stop where breakfast comes with a proper sea view and the staff don't blink at a big group of children. Families with five kids in tow have been welcomed warmly here, with only a short wait for a table and food arriving promptly once seated. The pancakes are the thing children ask for — bacon and maple syrup, or the pistachio ones adults order for themselves — and the full English gets praise for portion size and quality. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, free parking and outdoor seating for good weather, plus indoor tables when Cornwall does its worst. It's popular enough that there's often a queue at opening, though one family who visited in May half term found plenty of room and no waiting at all. Dogs are welcome too, with water bowls.
