Café · Worthing
Right on the seafront at Goring, this is the kind of place where a beach walk turns into a long, unhurried breakfast — and there's free parking a few steps away, which takes the sting out of unloading a pram. Seating is split between upstairs indoors, a covered terrace and tables almost on the sand, so even when it's heaving you can usually find somewhere. Breakfast starts at 8am; the veggie garden plate with proper poached eggs, sourdough, halloumi and roasted vine tomatoes gets glowing mentions, as do the bacon baps ("loads of bacon") and the fish and chips. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted. Two honest snags: it's pricier than the average seaside café, and on a sunny bank holiday the queue and the wait for food can both stretch.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
