Thai · Brighton
Bright, colourful and surprisingly cosy once the evening lights are on, this Thai spot manages the trick of feeling special without being precious about children. Buggy access and high chairs are sorted, there's a kids' menu, and a few outdoor tables for when a toddler needs air. The cooking is what people come back for — fresh, properly balanced spicing that doesn't scorch, prawn red curry and vegan papaya salad both get named again and again, and gluten-free diners can eat almost the whole menu. Lunch deals are genuinely good value, either the set course or four tapas-style dishes to share around. The team is warm and unflappable; one family found nothing was too much trouble, even a last-minute takeaway box. It's small and buzzy, so book at weekends rather than chancing it.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
