A few minutes' walk from the Roman Baths, this is far bigger inside than the narrow street frontage suggests — there's a substantial second dining room downstairs, though with a pram you'll want the main floor. The doorway sits slightly to one side, so it's easy to walk past. Air conditioning makes summer lunches bearable, and the music stays low enough to hear a small person across the table. The staff are genuinely warm and quick with high chairs, and the semi-open kitchen gives children something to watch while they wait. Order the waterfall beef, the prawn doughnuts or a chicken Panang, and share the mango sticky rice — less sugary than most versions, which one parent found all the better for it.
