A proper stop-off on a family walk, this one — spacious enough that a pram isn't a problem, warm inside, with big views out over the Lincolnshire countryside. Food is cooked fresh to order, and the breakfasts do the heavy lifting: the Ramblers breakfast comes up again and again, and the cake counter is hard to walk past. Prices are gentle for what you get, there are high chairs and a kids' menu, free parking, and tables outside when the weather plays along. It's a not-for-profit supporting people with additional needs, and the staff have a genuinely patient, nothing-too-much-trouble way about them. Worth knowing: it fills up, and busy days can mean the back room, so book if you're a group. One or two people have found the odd breakfast served lukewarm.
