17GRAMS Brighton | Coffee & Brunch
Tiny Lanes brunch spot with famous mushrooms, fast service on busy mornings, a kids' menu and genuinely warm staff.

Seafood · Brighton
Tucked just off the Lanes, this is a proper seafood spot that still works with children in tow — high chairs, a kids' menu, and a small four-seater terrace out front by the path to the old town if you'd rather be outside with a pram. Inside it's candlelit and warm, with room to spread out, though it fills up and gets lively in the evenings, so it may be too loud for a child who needs quiet. The staff are the reason people come back: attentive, cheery, quick with recommendations. Portions are generous — the risotto defeats most people — and the oysters, sea bream with samphire, and seafood linguine get the most praise. Mains run roughly £25–35, so it's a treat rather than a Tuesday. Worth booking, and skip the whole crab unless you fancy the work.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
