Margaret's Cambridge
A well-loved Cambridge restaurant with a 4.8 Google rating and sensible mid-range prices for a family meal out.

Fine Dining · Cambridge
This is a tasting-menu evening rather than a casual family lunch, though there's a kids' menu and high chairs if you're bringing children along for a special occasion. Expect around two hours at the table, which is worth knowing before you commit — it's a sit-down-properly experience, not somewhere to duck in and out of. The cooking draws real superlatives: native lobster with sea buckthorn, Yorkshire Longhorn beef with fermented mushroom, and a bread course one diner still had dreams about afterwards, brioche served with peaty and mushroom butter. Wine pairings are a highlight, and there's a soft-drinks pairing too. Staff are attentive and genuinely knowledgeable. It's expensive, and service can drift a little at the end of a long meal, but families marking birthdays and anniversaries come away saying it was worth every penny.
