Sea bass, dressed crab with chips, pork cheeks in red wine sauce and the Poole oysters all get real praise, and the crème brûlée is a proper finish. Two honest snags: it's cooked fresh and service is slow — the menu says so, and a full three courses can stretch past two hours — and prices climb fast once you add starters and puddings.
