A special-occasion sort of place in Sheffield, so it suits an older child who'll sit through several courses rather than a toddler mid-meltdown — the room is small and intimate, and evenings lean towards celebrations. That said, there's a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking, which takes the sting out of the logistics. The staff are the reason people come back: attentive without hovering, happy to explain what's on the plate, and the kitchen bench lets children watch the chefs at work up close, which buys you a surprisingly long stretch of good behaviour. The tasting menus are the thing, including a strong vegan ten-course, and the date pudding with PX caramel and pecan gets talked about for weeks. It isn't cheap and you'll need to book, but families call it "unquestionably worth it".
