Wild Bean Cafe
A Winchester cafe that's a handy stop for a coffee and a bite when you're out with the kids.

Pull up at this little airfield spot near Winchester and the main event is right there — planes taking off and landing a few metres away, with swings, a climbing frame and a Brio train table to hold the attention of anyone too small to care about aircraft. Families routinely stay two hours. There's masses of parking, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, high chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access, though the indoor room is genuinely small and gets busy with pilots and bikers on weekend mornings. Food is simple and done well: bacon baps, full English breakfasts with lashings of toast, good coffee, brownies. It can take a while when they're rammed, and there's no proper veggie cooked breakfast. One family called it the nicest airfield café they'd been to, and it's cheap for what you get.
