Cafés · Scunthorpe
A role-play centre with a café attached, and the play side is genuinely the draw — little shops, vehicles and a working post office postbox, all kept in great condition and swapped out regularly. It suits roughly up to age eight, and numbers are capped so children aren't queuing to play. Parents consistently mention how spotless it is, how quickly food arrives, and how much the staff throw themselves into birthdays. Coffee is good, pizzas get singled out, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating and free parking. Two honest notes: at around £18 for two adults and a child it's not the cheapest morning out, and the "road" round the play area can see older kids driving go-karts a bit fast near toddlers. One parent's granddaughter simply "didn't want to leave".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
