Right by the sea at Port Gaverne, this is a small tapas-style seafood place with a harbour view that people travel out of their way for — the sort of lunch where the food genuinely holds up. Fresh scallops, monkfish, gurnard, oysters and lobster all get raved about, and portions are generous enough that two or three plates each does it. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and outdoor seating, and the staff stay patient and attentive even when the room is heaving. Two honest snags: book ahead and go early, because tables and the free parking nearby both go fast — the public car parks up the hill mean a short downhill walk with a pram. It's not cheap, but most families feel it's fair for the quality.
