A small, cosy Italian room where the cooking punches far above the plain decor — and where families are made properly welcome, with a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables when the weather plays along. The staff are warm and attentive, which helps enormously when you're eating with children, and free parking takes one worry off the evening. Portions are generous and rich: the lasagne and penne arrabbiata get near-devotional praise, the mussels and seafood are a real draw, and the burrata, porcini risotto and tiramisu are all worth ordering. There are vegan options too. Worth knowing: it's genuinely small and gets busy and buzzy, so book ahead if you need space for a pram, and opinions on price split — some find the bill very reasonable, others call it steep.
