Right on the beach at Lancing, this is the sort of place families end up at on a sunny Saturday and stay all afternoon — sea views, plenty of buggy room to get in, high chairs, and free parking. It gets properly busy, so book ahead, especially for weekend breakfasts; the bar area sometimes has tables when the restaurant doesn't. Food arrives quickly even when it's heaving, though taking your order can be slower. The fish and chips have their fans, the sticky Asian salmon salad is a favourite, and pizzas you can smell on the way in. There's a kids' menu and good vegan choices. Be warned on price — around £16 for adult mains and £8 for a child's portion — and one parent found the loos below par. Noisy, but families keep coming back.
