Hotpot Spot
Interactive hotpot in Cardiff with mild peanutty broths, adjustable spice, a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking.

Pub · Cardiff
Tucked into the heart of Roath, this is a cosy little corner pub that families slot into easily rather than one that makes a fuss about children — there's a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking, which takes the stress out of arriving. Sunday breakfast is the sweet spot: quiet, clean, genuinely good coffee at fair prices, and the staff happily went off-menu for one family with a toddler in tow. There are board games to keep small hands busy, and the upstairs room has lovely light and a view over the street below. Worth knowing: kitchen timing is hit and miss — some get hot food fast on a busy Friday, others have waited far too long — so go early or off-peak with hungry children. One family visiting from abroad came back several times in ten days.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
