Cafés · Stafford
A coffee and a teacake after a long loop of the estate grounds is exactly what this place is for, and it works well with children in tow. Inside it's small and cosy, which is welcome on a cold day, but the real draw is the big outdoor seating area — plenty of room to park a buggy, let restless legs wander, and let noise disperse. Buggy access is straightforward, high chairs are there, and there's a kids' menu alongside a good spread of food and drinks. Staff are friendly and a second coffee machine has cut the wait considerably, which matters when someone's flagging. Parking is free. Two snags worth knowing: it opens 10am–3.30pm and can be shut off-peak, though the Mansion House tea room covers the gap.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
