A quiet weekday lunch here is an easy win with children — early in the day it's calm enough that nobody minds a bit of noise, and the staff are attentive without hovering. Sunday roasts are the thing people come back for: proper big portions, beef that falls apart, colcannon mash, and sides that have clearly had thought put into them. The kids' roasts are generous too, and the ordinary children's menu comes with plenty of chips and a waffle ice cream cone for pudding, which softens the bill a bit. There are high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking, and it's under ten minutes from the Trafford Centre. It isn't the cheapest roast around, and Sundays fill up — worth booking if you want a relaxed one.
