A laid-back Brighton coffee shop with outdoor seating and vegan options — an easy spot for a family coffee.

Restaurants · Brighton
Brighton's Japanese and Korean crossover, and one that families keep coming back to across a whole week's holiday. The outdoor seating is the smart move with a pram — roomy, pleasant on a good day, and easier than the inside, which is snug and often full. Food is fresh and arrives piping hot: the teriyaki salmon and kitsune udon get the loudest praise, along with salmon maki, kimchi pancake, and soft, properly spicy tteokbokki. Matcha ice cream is the obvious finish for children. High chairs, a kids' menu, and plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices are all there. Two honest snags: it's pricier than other Asian spots nearby, and it gets packed — sometimes with a waiting list — so book ahead and expect the staff to be stretched at peak times.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
