That changes in the evenings and at weekends, when the music and the chatter start competing and holding a conversation across the table gets hard, so time your visit if you've got a child who struggles with noise. The food is unfussy pub cooking at sensible prices for central Birmingham — the Hot Chick Stack burger comes in a genuinely big portion, and the pepperoni pizza gets a nod too.
