About Obsession of India

A curry house that has clearly worked out how to handle a table with a toddler at it — one family brought their two-year-old and left talking about how kind and accommodating the staff were, right down to a small gift for him. High chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options are all sorted, and because mains are cooked to order the spice can be dialled down to something a child will actually eat. Portions are generous and the value is genuinely good: around £22 for two is typical, with complimentary sweet rice appearing at some tables. The lamb comes out tender, the garlic and cheese naans get raved about, and the karahi and jalfrezi are properly traditional rather than reinvented. Two honest snags — the music can be loud, and it fills up fast at weekends, so book if you want a calm table.
