Miller & Carter Wollaton
A relaxed Nottingham steakhouse with a kids' menu and outdoor seating — easy for families wanting a sit-down meal together.

Restaurant · Nottingham
A big Greene King pub on the edge of Nottingham with a large car park, so you're not circling the block with a car seat in one hand. There's proper room between tables for a pram, a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating when the weather holds. Families come back monthly because it's quick and easy with children in tow, and the staff are generally warm and unbothered by a full, noisy table — one large group of thirteen was looked after without fuss. The burgers get the loudest praise, and there are often midweek deals (two meals for £20) plus blue light card acceptance. Be warned: weekend service can drag badly, with waits of 45 minutes-plus reported, and the food is honest pub standard rather than remarkable. Book ahead and go midweek if you can.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
