Shake Bee Nottingham
A relaxed Nottingham shake spot with a kids' menu and a 4.4-star rating from families.

Bangladeshi · Nottingham
A proper old-school city-centre curry house, and one where a family with small children is treated as a welcome guest rather than a nuisance — the owners tend to come over, ask what you like and don't like, and steer you towards dishes that suit. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the set meal is the sensible move with children: several courses for around £20, and they'll pack up whatever nobody finishes in takeaway tubs. Food comes out piping hot, chips are on the menu alongside the tandoori king prawns and lamb bhuna people come back for, and portions are generous. Two honest caveats: the room is small and a touch dated, so it's snug with a pram, and if you're a big group you'll want to book.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
