Lisbon Bakery and Restaurant
Cheap, warm Portuguese bakery-restaurant in central Plymouth — superb pastries, generous plates, kids' menu, high chairs and cooler outdoor seats.

Middle Eastern · Plymouth
A Kurdish-Iraqi kitchen in Plymouth where £13 buys a genuine feast — meat, rice, naan, a spicy vegetable side — and a bowl of lamb, rice and tomato soup lands on the table the moment you sit down, which is a small miracle when children are hungry and impatient. The lamb biryani gets named again and again, portions are big enough to share, and the bread comes out hot. High chairs, a kids' menu and halal food are all sorted, and there's free parking plus a prayer room upstairs. Two honest snags: it's cash only, so bring notes, and the seating is closer to a takeaway than a formal dining room — fine with a pram, less so if you want a leisurely two hours. Staff are warm and were happy to accommodate a family of five.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
