La Cabane, Bien Manger Cornwall
A mid-priced French restaurant in Penryn, Cornwall, with a perfect five-star rating across its first handful of reviews.

Restaurant · Penryn
Right on the water in Penryn, this is a brunch spot where the terrace does a lot of the work — tables looking out over the estuary, plenty of room for a buggy outside, and free parking, though the pay-and-display next door is small so arrive early or hunt along the road. Inside is cosy rather than roomy, with high chairs and a genuinely warm team who cope well with children and dogs. Food comes fast, which matters when someone's had enough. Portions get raved about: the Muddy Stack, the Hog's Pudding Hash, the sourdough, cakes and pancakes, and a vegan chocolate milkshake worth the detour. Weekday brekkie club keeps costs sensible — otherwise a full breakfast runs £13–14, and a few people feel that's steep for what lands.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
