Set inside a grand old building on St Vincent Street, this is the kind of place that keeps children occupied before the food even arrives — dining spread over different levels, a tree branching up through the floor, rope swing seats and hundreds of little glowing glass jars overhead. Food comes in small metal tiffin tins, dish by dish as each is ready rather than all at once, which suits grazing children but does mean gaps between plates, and at busy times you may need to prompt the staff. Order plenty: the yoghurt chat bombs, tamarind potato cubes and Temple Dahl get the most love, and there's a proper spread of vegetarian and vegan choices alongside the kids' menu and high chairs. Sharing platters are generous — five curries between three was too much for one table.
