The Cabin
Cosy Sheffield pancake and waffle house with huge portions, quick service, and vegan, gluten-free and halal options — book at weekends.

Cafés · Sheffield
A proper Sheffield greasy-spoon-done-right, and the sort of place that quietly becomes your Saturday morning habit. The breakfasts are the draw — the mega breakfast in particular, piping hot, huge portions, extra hash browns and fried bread if you're brave — and the omelettes get the same praise. Prices are low enough that feeding everyone doesn't sting, and food arrives fast, which matters when a toddler has hit the wall. It's family-run and the team are genuinely warm with people, chatty rather than brisk, and the room is kept clean. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables. Coffee is proper, not instant. Sandwiches are the weaker end of the menu, and it's cheerful and busy rather than quiet — one visitor calls it "an absolute gem".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
