Food comes out quickly, which matters when someone's patience is running out, and portions are generous — the Guinness steak pie gets the most praise, with fish and chips the other thing half the room seems to be ordering. Staff are friendly and quick even when it's busy, though on a rare off-day someone found the service flat. Two honest snags: the background music sits loud, and there's live music most nights and screens showing sport, so it's better for an early tea than a quiet one. Parking is difficult. Prices are fair for what arrives.
