Cafés · Ballyclare
A newish spot near Ballyclare's free car park and the public park, and the setup is genuinely thought through — parents mention being able to sit with a coffee and see the whole room, no blind spots for little escapees. It's bright, spotlessly clean and calm rather than chaotic, with a kitchen corner, a slide, a reading nook and a small soft play area that suits crawlers and toddlers especially well. High chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu are all sorted, and the lattes, iced coffee and hot chocolate get real praise, as does the tray of buns and cakes. Worth knowing: it's one small room, so book ahead at busy times, and older preschoolers may run out of things to do. The Tuesday £10 deal is good value — one parent called it "so worth it".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
