It's small and full of character rather than roomy, so a pram is manageable but easier at a quiet lunchtime than a busy evening; there are high chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu, and the bar staff are consistently warm. Real ales are the draw, Tribute especially, with beer priced fairly and poured, as one visitor put it, "with a smile." Worth knowing: Thursday is open mic night and weekends get loud and sing-song-ish, so come earlier in the day if you want a calmer table with the children.
