Arriving here already feels like a treat — open countryside, horses in the fields, Glastonbury Tor behind you and easy free parking right outside. The café is large and airy with wide entrances, so a pram goes in without a fuss, and there are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor tables when everyone needs to spill outside. Sunday afternoons are full of families and it does get busy; service is usually warm and quick off the mark, though on a slow day you may need to chase an order. Breakfast is the standout — the full English, the veggie version with homemade spiced beans and hash, trout on sourdough, proper coffee and local apple juice from the orchard down the road. Good vegan choices too, plus a small farm shop and free treats for the dog.
