Ji The Chicken Shop (Southampton)
Taiwanese fried chicken in Southampton with a kids' menu, high chairs, step-free buggy access and gluten-free options.

Mexican · Southampton
A small Mexican spot tucked away from the main high street, with indoor seating for around a dozen — so it's cosy rather than roomy, and worth thinking about pram space or timing your visit outside the lunch rush. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options, and everything is made to order, though food tends to land in about ten minutes, which helps when someone's patience is thinning. The staff are unfailingly warm and accommodating. Burritos come out enormous for around £12, the pork tacos with tomato salsa get rhapsodic praise, and the slow-cooked beef brisket rice bowl arrives topped with crispy pickles and cabbage. Churros are the thing people come back for. Fridge full of Jarritos in every flavour too. Soft drinks are a little pricey, but portions justify the bill.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
