Cafés · Bradford-on-Avon
Set in open countryside outside Bradford-on-Avon, this is the sort of place you can arrive at with a pram and a hungry toddler and not feel apologetic — free parking right there, plenty of outdoor tables, a log fire inside when it turns cold, and views that buy you five minutes of calm. Hot food is cooked to order, so breakfast isn't instant, but the sausages, the enormous pastries and the French toast (Biscoff, mini egg, strawberry-and-chocolate) are what people come back for. Staff are warm with children and happy to tweak things — warming a pastry, adding fried bread. Kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options. Two snags worth knowing: breakfast for three can run to around £50, and dogs are allowed inside, which won't suit everyone. Weekend events get very busy.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
