A steakhouse in a chain, but the Bridgwater branch does the family basics properly: high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access through the door and free parking, so you're not circling the block with a toddler in the back. Portions land bigger than expected — one large group was genuinely surprised by the size — and the steaks come out cooked as asked. Beyond the grill, the shepherd's pie and the creamed cabbage with bacon get real affection from regulars. Staff tend to be attentive without hovering, checking in and topping up drinks, and there's a private room worth asking about if you're a big family group. Two honest caveats: vegetarian and pasta choices have thinned out considerably, so check the menu before promising anything, and it's more a proper sit-down dinner than a quick in-and-out.
