Mantra Cafe Newcastle
A relaxed Newcastle café with a kids' menu and high chairs, easy for a laid-back visit with little ones.

Thai · Newcastle upon Tyne
Two floors, comfortably spaced and smart enough to feel like a treat, but the welcome is what parents notice first — the team here are unhurried and genuinely polite, and they've squeezed in walk-ins without a booking more than once. Everyone's food arrives together on one big tray, which matters when a four-year-old is watching other people eat. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking. The crispy pork belly in Thai chilli jam and the king prawn pad Thai are the dishes people go back for, and the coconut rice is worth ordering for the table; kitchens here cook to order, so expect a proper wait rather than a reheat. They'll happily swap ingredients for vegan or allergy needs. One caveat: it isn't cheap, and evenings get busy — book if you can.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
