Tucked away in the village of Bleasby with its own railway station a few minutes' walk, this converted farm building does breakfast until 11.30 then moves on to lunch — bacon rolls, avocado and poached eggs, full English, plus Sunday lunches and proper afternoon tea. The garden is the draw on a warm day: old apple and pear trees, a pond with a shepherd's hut overlooking it, and plenty of room for a pram to sit beside your table. Inside there's a log fire going in autumn and a genuinely lovely room. It's counter service, the route in is flat, parking is free and generous, and there are vegan options (the kitchen will happily adapt the vegetarian breakfast). Prices sit slightly above the usual tea-room mark, and one parent noted the soft drink list is thin — worth knowing if you've got fussy drinkers in tow.
