Bright, modern and right in the middle of town, this is a handy stop when you need feeding and the children are past negotiating — kids' menu, high chairs and easy buggy access through the store. The food is what you'd expect from M&S, good quality but not cheap, and portions arrive at your table rather than needing collecting. Worth knowing before you go: ordering is now all done on touchscreens, then a tracker on the table and a wait for someone to bring it over, which is a faff for one juice but fine for a full lunch. It gets genuinely busy at lunchtime and tables can take a while to be cleared, and drinks have been known to arrive lukewarm. Staff are mostly warm and welcoming, though clearly stretched at peak.
