Noodle Doodle
Enormous, fast-arriving noodle and roast meat plates with a kids' menu, high chairs and genuinely warm staff — tables are tight at busy times.

Restaurant · Sheffield
A small Sheffield spot that rewards walking in on a whim — several families have done exactly that after spotting the Malaysian sign, and gone back. The menu is long enough that fussy eaters and adventurous ones can both be fed, with a separate kids' menu if yours won't stretch to sambal. Portions run large, which matters when you're sharing round a table: the sambal fried rice, the beef rendang with rice and the kangkung with chilli all come in generous helpings, and a cold teh tarik is worth ordering for anyone who'll drink it. Service is quick and friendly, high chairs are there when you ask, and you can get a pram in. It's a modest, straightforward room rather than a big one, so it suits a lunch or an early tea more than a large group.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
