Barbecue · Aberdeen
Come hungry — the portions here are properly American, and a plate of ribs or the Cowboy Texas grill will defeat most adults, let alone a child sharing off it. Staff are the thing parents mention most: warm from the door, genuinely attentive, and unbothered by a noisy toddler — one family noted the waitresses made a fuss of theirs rather than making them feel awkward. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, buggy access is fine, and the bathrooms are modern and spotless. The steak frites, the Rodeo burger, the pitmaster sandwich and the BBQ sharing platter all get raved about; key lime pie for pudding. Two snags worth knowing: the room is echoey and gets loud even half-full, and it isn't cheap — around £70 for two with drinks. Much of the menu is built for sharing.
