The room is bright, clean and modern, and there's a light, airy space upstairs if you want a bit more elbow room. Staff are patient with people who don't know the menu and will happily talk you through it; portions are generous and good value, and they've been known to make a dish that isn't on the menu. Worth ordering: the onion bhajis, crisp samosas, the roasted aubergine bhaingan, paneer masala and the madras parotta. Plenty for vegans too. There's a licensed bar with Cobra on tap, so it does have a proper restaurant feel rather than a canteen one — one to book at busier times.
