Restaurant · Winchester
Tucked into an unassuming pub on the edge of town, this is a Malaysian kitchen that has clearly outgrown its secret status — the car park fills up and the dining room hums. The food is the draw: satay beef and chicken that arrive juicy and char-grilled, beef rendang with a sharp red pickle, braised pork with shiitake and a ramen egg, and a grilled aubergine and courgette yellow curry that's mild enough for children who don't want heat. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and vegan choices, and the staff are consistently warm and attentive. One honest caveat: it's still a pub, so weekends and Sunday lunch get properly noisy — lovely if your toddler is loud, less so if you wanted a quiet meal. Worth booking.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
