Book ahead for this one — it fills up, and it's the kind of Italian people come back to two nights running. The room is beautiful without being precious, there's outdoor seating by the side entrance (which is also where you go in, so don't do what some do and hunt for a door out front), and buggy access plus high chairs and a kids' menu mean you're not apologising for turning up with children. Staff are warm and unflustered — one table's steak order went wrong and was sorted without fuss. The mussels in garlic sauce, the linguine marinara and the tiramisu get the most love; the vegan menu is genuinely thought through rather than one token pasta. It's ££ and more of a proper sit-down evening than a quick refuel, so come when everyone's got patience.
