The bar team are friendly and genuinely welcoming with families, and service is quick. The Sunday roast is the thing to come for — beef, Yorkshires and proper gravy get real praise — and cheesy chips keep children happy. It's a Harvey's pub, so the cask ale is excellent. Two honest notes: it gets busy at peak times and can be loud, and the pricier mains don't always justify themselves. One parent calls it "a great place for a break during the day".
