KYŌYŪ SUSHI & BBQ
Table-top charcoal BBQ and fresh sushi with kids' menu, high chairs and toasted marshmallows — quietest at weekday lunch.

Asian · Sheffield
Tucked away on the ground floor towards the back, this little Malaysian spot punches well above its size — and the big sharing portions mean nobody goes hungry and leftovers usually come home. The curry laksa is the thing people come back for, with a rich, smooth coconut broth that isn't fiery, so it suits younger palates; the char kuey teow, mee goreng and nasi lemak all get named as favourites too. Service is warm and unfailingly cheerful, the sort of place where someone checks you have everything you need, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access. Prices are fair for the quantity, though the salt and pepper chicken platter divides opinion and one parent found the teh tarik watery. Cosy rather than cavernous, so it's snug with a pram at busy times.
