A soft play that's genuinely calm is a rare thing, and this one manages it — parents repeatedly mention how spotless it is, which almost never gets said about places with a ball pit. The pretend-play stations do a lot of heavy lifting: a vet, a construction area, an ice cream and coffee shop, a supermarket, plus a sensory room and a separate area with slides, a rock wall and baby-safe corners, so a two-year-old and a four-year-old can both be busy. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, the coffee is properly good, and there are big tables seating eight to ten if you're meeting friends. The team are warm and unhurried, and quieter than most soft play, so it suits children who find noise hard. One snag: the floor runs cold — bring spare socks for everyone.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
